Random May Pictures

Today is the last day of preschool for Haila, Tanner and Jude.  Which means it's the last day for the little ones to have Nannie to themselves for a whole morning.  Which means starting tomorrow, I'll have them all all day.  ACK!  I take it back! I don't want school to be over yet!!!

Here's Connor (aka Trouble) Don't you love his shirt...he's a mess, but such a cutie!

This is Collin's 'Oh No' face...I think...or he could be recovering from a scuffle with Connor...who knows for sure!?!

The friendship between Connor and Kayley really is very sweet to watch.  He looks for her when she isn't here and asks for 'babay' several times before he finally gives up.  She smiles SO big when she see him come into eyesight...and he is very protective of her and if she makes even the first peep, he's looking for her pacifier.  Let's hope in the fall when Kayley comes back, that they'll still feel that way!

Collin was pitching a fit right before I took this picture...and as soon as he saw the camera...this is the face I got...LOL...cheesy boy!

It has been VERY warm this week...so I've had to come up with different ways to entertain the kids inside and get those motor skills still moving...today we "built" a house inside the house :)

Kayley is getting so big SO fast...here she is hamming it up in a cute picture showing her newfound skills of sitting like big girl unassisted!

And here she is wondering what in the world is this stuff I'm sitting on??? Ha!

Mother's Day 2011

Since I have been on a crazy collage creating kick...this year's Mother's Day gift is none other than a collage for each family!  I am creating this post and scheduling it to post after they receive them on Friday so as not to spoil any suprises!  They are just random shots from 2011 that I wanted to share with them (and now you).  ENJOY :)

Easter Cuties

I will be out of town for Easter Sunday, so I grabbed a few of my cuties at church yesterday to take a picture for this year! Of course I'm missing quite a bunch of them, but we took it after church and it was a little bit chaotic! Hopefully I can line my personal photographer, aka Lennie, up to do a spring picture session since they are all growing and changing so fast and I don't have any pictures with Collin and Kayley yet

Just Some Cute Kids

"I" have some really cute kids...now, I totally realize that I have NOTHING to do with how genetically "cute" they are, but I claim them still the same...These are some random shots of the cuteness of some of my group!  Enjoy!

Samantha's tball debut

Samantha's first tball game was this past Saturday in the cool drizzle while mom was out of town visiting her other friend Stephanie who just adopted a little boy.  So Nannie got to be her #1 fan and enjoyed the game with Samantha's daddy and grandaddy (who I affectionately labeled grumpy and grumpier...watching a game with them is, umm interesting...LOL) Anyhoo, I cheered my favorite tball girl on...and got some cute shots...love the close up with her hair all awry...true testament to mom being out of town!! And how about her 'on deck' pose...is that her serious ball player stance? Love it!

February and March Fun with Friends

Random shots of the kids...just being silly , having fun and being themselves!  Connor is being so sweet to Kayley lately... I love the one of him and her with their hands together...he loves to 'high five' her...and kiss on her too (don't tell Kayley's daddy....LOL)

Happy Valentine's Day

is Samantha not the cutest thing ever in her Valentine's Day outfit?

I took a few cell phone pics of my kids making Valentine's crafts yesterday too, but I'll post those later.

Spaghetti Faces

These two rival each other in the food eating department...keep on feeding they'll keep on eating...but I never get tired of spaghetti faces...love Connor's face with fork in hand, but only using the other hand to shovel it in

Peyton turns SIX!!!!

I remember a little chubby boy that turned one looking like this and it feels like it was JUST yesterday!
But this year Peyton is six years old, growing tall and lanky and still sassy as ever.  But no longer does he look like the long haired, chubby face baby above...now here he is...
Ohhhhh, it makes my heart hurt to see them grow up so fast.  Just reminds me how fast time is REALLY flying.  I can remember changing diapers for Cheyenne, Peyton and Karcen thinking how nice it would be to have them out of diapers, but now...I'd like to reverse a little while...keep them small and innocent a while longer.  But I guess I can't.  We celebrated on Peyt's real birthday with a snack party with his friends...here's a few shots of them!

Arts and Crafts...and Crying

Here's a little story about how some days go at Nannie's house. Especially when Connor is alone while everyone else is at school....All is well, we've been doing flashcards at the table and I'm making cupcakes for Peyton's snack party while Connor colors...Here he is a happy camper.
So I let him color while I am getting lunch fixed too.  But then he must have decided that he was all done coloring because I hear the all too familiar sound of something being THROWN to the floor.  Connor's notorious for temper tantrums at the table with food, and as it turns out, color wonder markers are no different.  Here he is when I say "Connor, markers are not for throwing, please don't do that" Followed by the last of the 3 markers being thrown while I watch him.  So I take the paper away and tell him "We're all done coloring because you threw your markers".  This is one of  the faces that follows:
Thennnnnnnnnn....I give in...sometimes I can be a softy...and give him one back, see the yellow marker above? Well about 2 seconds after I took that picture, he threw it to the floor and THIS is the face I looked at until lunch was ready.

Yep, I know you want my job....admit it.  It's not all fun and games...but sometimes you just gotta roll with it!

Discovery Place Kids

We took an impromptu field trip today after being inside most of the week to Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville.  Really cool exhibits...my only criticism is that all of them are linked together, meaning there is an in and an out in each area...making it REALLY easy to lose a child who can sneak into the next exhibit super easily...luckily this time I didn't, but one of the moms with us did and there were several others looking too!  We'll go back for sure....but we'll have reinforcements on hand!
