Cute Corn Faces

Thes may be silly, random pictures of the kids eating corn, but I love them because the kids are all into corn on the cob nowadays, and they are just too cute sitting at the table with them! This kind of stuff is what my parents are missing while they're at work! Haila's not giving hers up until she gets it all eaten, so I have to give it to her after all of her other food is gone!!!
Peyton is trying to say "cheeseburger" and eat at the same time!
Cheyenne is giggling so hard she can't even eat hers!
Karcen is all about some corn on the cob, her mommy told me that also had it the night before at their house, but that didn't keep Karcen from eating the whole thing!

Zach is using a hands free technique that seems inefficient to me, but whatever works for him!

Fun at the Park

We are having one of those mild November days today, so we packed up and headed to the Pharr Mill Road Park with our friends, Samantha, Kinsey and Walker! Zach and Karcen headed to the swings and Samantha's Aunt Julie pushed them (her mommy is working today).

Cheyenne has no fear and climbed right to the top of the jungle gym and is perched on the top rung and yelling "look at me Nannie!" which makes me very nervous!!

Peyton is swinging in the big boy swing, but he would much rather be in the baby swing with Haila...this is his "hurry up and take the picture so I can get down" smile!

Kinsey is riding on the see-saw contraption. I am not really sure what it is, but the kids love to get on it!

Karcen is riding the yellow duck because it is her favorite color. This is her duck. She doesn't like to take turns on the duck because it is yellow and yellow is her favorite color and she wants to ride it. (This is what she was telling me very loudly when I asked her to give Zach a turn)

This is Samantha at the top of the slide...She has gotten so brave in the past few months, I just can't get over it!

I had to keep putting Haila in the swing to "trap" her...She is so adventurous that she wears me out trying to keep her from falling off the top of the jungle gym. She loves to swing too, but she loves running and climbing the stairs with the big kids too!

Nannie's Trip to the Cove

I attended a Praise and Worship Conference at the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove in Asheville, NC this past week with Christy (Lane, Carley and Karcen's mommy). The view below is from the "back porch" of the training center! It was a glorius 3 days learning about worship and practical tips to implement at our church. The praise time alone was worth the trip!

Any of you who know me well, know that I love Tommy Walker's music. We met him in the spring at the praise and worship conference, and I truly believe that the Lord had a plan for us to cross paths. His music is WONDERFUL and speaks to my heart! We have already learned a few songs of his, but are working on more. He is a truly gifted musician and songwriter with such an evident love for the Lord. We orchestrated a picture with him, he probably thinks I am a crazy stalker, but he does at least know he has a fan on the east coast (he lives in CA). Visit his site at www.tommywalker.net to see what he's all about!!!
Here is Tommy and a man named Dennis Agajanian, who has the fastest fingers on a guitar that I have EVER seen. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing these guys play! Very talented musicians!
This picture was taken the last night of our conference. Tommy led the last part of the worship time with Tommy Coomes and part of his band. I could have stayed there and listened all night. We got a couple of cds signed and headed home, but it was a wonderful experience and I thank God for a refreshing few days and a renewal of my spirit for helping to lead praise music!

Nannie's New Camera!

My friends and family all went in and got me a cool new digital camera for my birthday...So I had to take a few pictures to try it out! Here's a cheesy grin from Zach and Cheyenne with her caterpillar! I love this camera and it is SO easy to use!

Below is a too cute shot of Peyton, just being cute! Gotta love those blue eyes...watch out girls, he's gonna be a heartbreaker!!

I swear Haila looks identical to Peyton at this age, just with earrings...these are just some cute babies! Haila is just hanging out on the chair with Nannie...her favorite place to be - on my lap!

Daycare Pictures 2007

So today was the day to have our pictures made. For those of you who don't know, we have had a group daycare picture made for the last 10 years with all of my assorted children. The kids have grown up and some have moved on, and some won't have their pictures made with me anymore, literally! But not my Kattie, who you see seated next to me in our full group shot. She has agreed (or been threatened to agree) to continue with our group picture until she graduates high school! I love her for sticking with me. She is, after all, my first "baby". SO, after taking 9, yes NINE, children to Sears for pictures, here is what we have... One more year and I can't believe how fast they've grown!

The picture at left is a casual shot that the photographer took of the younger ones, Kattie gracefully bowed out of laying on the floor with them! But I LOVE IT!!! How cute are these kids? I know I am a little biased, but they have to be among the cutest kids ever!

There was no bloodshed, no major tear outbreaks, and we all walked away happy with promises of Halloween candy for being such good listeners.

This is the Gill's 2007 shot...Kattie is 16, and Klay and 10.

This is the official Burnette shot for the year. Lane is 10, Carley is 7 and Karcen is 2.

The Popes pose for their picture.
Zachary is 4 and Cheyenne just
turned 3.

Peyton and Haila are too cute in their photo. Can't tell they're related can you?
Peyton is 2 and Haila is 14 months.
