Paula Deen Comes to Town

Paula Deen came to town to hold a book signing at the BJ's warehouse, so of course we went to stand in line to have our books signed. Peyton and Haila went along with us (and Deven too) and we coached Peyton into saying "Heeeey, Good Lookin!" and wink at Paula when we met her. Which he did, and drew a huge laugh from Paula and Michael. Here he is practicing.

We had to stand in line a looooooong time, so we had to entertain the kids. Haila was being shy and then all smiles....

We finally got our chance to meet Paula and get our books signed. She talks just like she does on television...I was tickled pink to say I've actually met Paula Deen. Here's a closeup of Paula and Michael.

Rockin' It Out with Go Fish

We took the church kids to see the Go Fish Guys...check them out online at http://www.gofishguys.com/ ....the kids had a blast and I think the grown ups had as much fun as the kids..I know Christy did.

Christy turns 40!

The class of '87 is turning 40 one by one and Christy is the latest...we threw her a "surprise" party- which of course she had figured out.

Easter at the Beach - April 2009

Easter Sunrise Service - the sun coming up over the ocean as we have church on the beach celebrating the resurrection of Jesus!

The easter bunny came to Myrtle Beach Travel Park and left some bunny ears in Kattie's basket...Mike and Kattie model them on the beach!

I went home on Sunday and picked up a partial group of kids, the Burnettes were at Nana's in TN, and we had fun digging in the sand and playing at the water's edge.

Klay claimed a partially dug hole on the beach and made it deep enough for him...

Kattie's senior prom is here... waaaaah :( She's growing up TOO fast). But she (and Carl) looked very nice and I love the shot of Kattie, Kelsey and Nikki.
